This September Artists With Ecology, powered by Shunpike, with a matching funds grant from the Inspire Olympia Community Impact Grant, is beginning a new mural with artist Andra Wilbur-Sigo. Infinite Relations – a 60 foot long mural reflecting the infinite connections between Squaxin culture and the unique environment they have stewarded, are stewarding, and will continue to steward into the future.

This mural will be in the heart of Olympia WA where observers can step into this human scale story of people and place and experience awe for ongoing creation and renewal and learn of the interconnections of ecosystems.

The mural will be designed and painted by Andrea Wilbur Sigo, a traditional carver and a prominent public artist, her family, other Squaxin artists, and Christopher Gerber a professional muralist with 40 years experience creating place with paint.

The image here is a rough sketch of the background for a multi layered Coast Salish design. At 60 feet long and over 10 feet high, one will be able to step into the story of Infinite Relations.

The mural will be completed, with a reception for the artists, at the Olympia Fall Arts Walk 2025 Friday October 3rd at 5:30 in the TJ Potter Alley directly across from the mural For the Ancestors by Nisqually Artist Kyle Sanchez.
