Carrie Ziegler is an artist, speaker, and community engagement expert who harnesses the collective power of art to drive social and environmental transformation. Through her Art in Action projects, she partners with communities, schools, and organizations to blend creativity with pressing issues, inspiring participation and lasting change.

Her notable works include The Chrysalis Project, which helped catalyze climate policy adoption in Thurston County, and the Plastic Whale Project, a catalyst for regional bans on single-use plastic bags. Based in Olympia and recognized internationally, Carrie has shared her vision across Aotearoa (New Zealand), Ghana, France, Mexico, and Canada.

She is also the author of Eclosion: An Artist’s Path to Power and Peace, which tells her journey of healing and how collaborative art became both her calling and a force for shifting hearts, policies, and communities.
